Considering Red Sonja is set in times well before the advent of Judaism let alone Christianity this title does seem an odd choice for a Holiday Special with Christmas tree and model on the front cover. However despite the obvious take on the Scrooge story at the beginning albeit with just the one ghost this is a highly readable little comic.
Unusually the "Cosplay Cover" is the main one of three available in the shops rather than on sale at a premium price but Rachel Hollen who also did the photo cover for the Vampirella Holiday Special appears as Red Sonja.
There are only two short stories and other than the already mentioned Sonja's Carol (geddit) the second feature is The Dance Of Fire which is not good news for virgins which includes of course our Red as no man may lay with her unless he bests her in a sword fight. The curse of a goddess who gave Sonja life and hope after her parents slaughter.
