Originally debuting in 194 Dynamite have not only revived an old Harris Comics title but continued the story from all those years ago. Set in a world where humanity has all but been wiped out Vampirella is long dead killed by the evil Nyx, agent of the Chaos Gods. Speared to a Church door
as a warning.
Some of her allies still live and seek magical implements to fight back. Children are told stories of the one born of dark that fought for light. They hide in a world destroyed by evil. One where Nyx has a new enemy...boredom.
Then she hears of a discovery. There is another heroes death and the game is afoot.

Also available is facsimile copy of Harris Comics Vengeance of Vampirella #1 though watch out for the price! I didn't notice it was $6.99 rather than the regular price of $3.99. Not sure why it's so pricey given it's a reprint. Perhaps the print run is very small.
Vampirella is tracking down a child killer, a Troll who likes the taste of children. The younger the better. It's all very nineties and brutal. There's an assassin called Haemorrhage who is hired by survivors of Vampi's hunting He likes playing with blood. He calls it art. First he must test his prey.
It's wroth getting if you are like me and lack the original. I have a number of issues of this series buried in a box somewhere though I won't be digging them out any time soon. The new series will do.
