The countdown to Christmas has begun and the seasonal comics are starting to arrive the earliest of which was Archie's all-ages one shot last month and now it's time for the adults as Vampirella's latest one-shot comic hits the stands. For the first time in ages I actually chose a variant cover. A cosy warm "cosplay" edition with model Rachel Hollen.
Mind you that costume doesn't keep the cold out....
There are three stories in this oversized comic the first of which, The Fright Night Before Christmas reinterprets the Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future in a quite radical and violent manner as they each try to hunt down and kill or enslave Vampi. Certainly not the way Mt Dickens envisaged his work being parodied....
Next up is Vampire Bells a mangaesque story of a boy his glasses and a Monster followed by a team up with Santa in erm..Sleigh!
